Friends of Washington Crossing Park are sponsoring cooking before microwaves and stove tops at a hands-on open hearth cooking class on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Hibbs House in Washington Crossing Historic Park.
During the class, food historian Connie Unangst will teach participants how to stew, boil, roast and bake using the building's large open hearth fireplace while discussing culinary facts from the 18th century.
Class begins at 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. and pre-registration and a $35 fee are required. Space is limited. Call 267-475-2353 to reserve your spot and for more information!
