Upper Makefield Township

On Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., eastern standard time, the federal government will conduct its first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).  This test will last up to three and a half minutes.   This test plays a key role in ensuring the nation is prepared for all vital information, should it ever be needed.   All scheduled television, radio, cable and satellite shows will be interrupted as this system is being tested, but will resume as soon as the test is over. 

This event will only be a test and not a real emergency alert.  Please remember, this is only a test!
