Girl Scouts Volunteer at Lookout Park

Over 300 wild flower pods were recently planted at Lookout Park by volunteers from Girl Scout Troop 2312. Their diligent work will not only make the park more beautiful, but will also improve the environment by increasing the habitat for birds and bees and controlling stormwater runoff.  Increased "no-mow" areas and continued expansion of meadow on non-recreational land in the park will also decrease the total amount of required maintenance.  Many thanks to Troop 2312 and to EAC Chair Cathy Magliocchetti for organizing this event!
