The National Weather Service is predicting flooding of the Delaware River along Upper Makefield Township on Friday, March 11, 2011. There may be a need for potential evacuations and utility shutoffs as the water rises. Based on current predictions, River Road north of Rt. 532 could become impassable by 7 am on Friday, and it is recommended that residents living between the canal and the river have a plan in place to be evacuated prior to then.
