UPPER MAKEFIELD TWP. DECLARES WINTER STORM EMERGENCY
In advance of the anticipated winter ice storm, the Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors has declared a winter storm emergency to take effect at 9 p.m. on February 1, 2011. As part of that declaration, the Township has made arrangements to have an ambulance crew on call in the township starting at 9pm for a minimum period of 12 hours.
During the emergency period, Township Emergency Management and Public Safety officials will work closely with residents and local authorities to ensure that the roads are cleared. All residents are also reminded to contact PECO if they have a power outage. Don’t depend on your neighbor to call for your power loss
The length of the emergency declaration will depend on the storm track and the progress of the salt trucks. For additional information about the storm, please visit the Township Web site, www.uppermakefield.org.
