In advance of the anticipated winter storm, the Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors has declared a snow emergency to take effect at 6 p.m. on January 26, 2011. As part of that declaration, the Township has made arrangements to have an ambulance crew on call starting at 9pm for a period of 12 hours. During the emergency period, Township Emergency Management and Public Safety officials will work closely with residents and local authorities to ensure that the roads are cleared for plows. Residents are urged to move their vehicles off of Township roads in order to facilitate this process. The length of the emergency declaration will depend on the storm track and the progress of Township plows. Please check the Township Web site for updates.
