Upper Makefield took home top prize, the 21st Annual Outstanding Citizen Communication Award, in the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors’ 44th Annual Township Citizen Communication Contest. The annual Outstanding Citizen Communication award is given to one township for its overall achievement and commitment to citizen communication—and this year Upper Makefield won.
This annual contest recognizes
townships that have successfully communicated programs, news, information, and
activities to their residents. Upper Makefield was the only township to win
first place in multiple categories.
This monthly e-mail newsletter received first place in the electronic
newsletter category. Additionally, Upper Makefield also won first place in the
website category.
The association will officially present the
township with the award in May 2012 at PSATS’s 90th Annual Educational
Conference in Hershey, PA.
